Classic Savory

Another excuse to dine-out~ It's Father's day! Of course,  hubby would not let this occasion pass. He won't allow me to take the upper hand because last time we did celebrate Mother's Day.

It's also "The Man of Steel" day, coinciding my man of steel day.

We decided to go to Robinson's Magnolia to try their cinema and check out the new mall in town.

I got excited to eat at Yabu: The House of Katsu, but they are jam-packed. My husband and kids are already hungry and can't wait no more so we look for another alternative and we came up with Classic Savory.

We are all a big fan of Chinese Restaurants, Classic Savory came from the old Savory Restaurant in Escolta, Manila. It was my Parents and Grandparents favorite.

A variety of Chinese foods to choose from. source Classic savory

Cream of Crab & Corn Soup P195.00

Old Spaghetti House

This is my first time dining here and I must say I made the right choice.

Old Spaghetti House for me was just like an ordinary Italian Spaghetti Restaurant. Bonding with my Bessie at Robinson's Place Otis, we decided to try it out.

Ambiance was soft and relaxing. It's like dining in an old western style restaurant using sea-shells chandeliers and wooden furnitures & walls,  minus the wild cowboys.

They have this Trio Treats promo which offers different variety of appetizers, spaghettis and pizzas depending on your choice. They have the Healthy Delights, Celebration Trio, All Italian, All Time Favorite, Go Filipino (this one has an interesting combination like the bagoong pizza which I'm afraid to try.)  and many more.

We ordered the TrioTreats: All-time Favorite, P665.00 (plus 10% service charge), which consists of Appetizer Sampler, Spaghetti Chicken Pesto, Four Cheese Pizza and a pitcher of Iced Tea.

Iced Tea tastes sooooo good! Love it!
Appetizer Sampler ~ Onion Rings, Calamares & Chicken chunks
Spaghetti Chicken Pesto
Four Cheese Pizza
All these tastes delightfully delicious. All was soooo good to the point that we finished them all (this was supposed to be for three, remember? hahaha). Their bricked baked-oven thin crust pizza was so tasty. I just wished that its crust was a little bit thicker. Spaghetti Chicken Pesto was simple yet so delicious. Appetizers was the best. Tender calamares, oh so good onion rings and chicken chunks (though the serving of chunks was so little that you won't even noticed it on the plate). Overall, they are exceptionally delicious. Two thumbs-up!

I will definitely go back to try more.

~Bon appetit~

Go Italian! ~ Ristorante Bigoli

This post stayed in my draft thousand years ago...hahaha, I forgot to publish it!

Go Italian!

Like any other families, we took this opportunity to celebrate Mother's Day by dining out. Also serves our family bonding time.

My children are craving for Italian dishes so we decided to try Ristorante BIGOLI  located at the 4th level of Trinoma Mall in Quezon City.

Since we can save a lot if we order group menus, we tried the Gruppo Pizza and Pasta Festa plus additional chicken and tried their bestseller, Bacon Stromboli. Bottomless Drinks are included in the Gruppo. There are lots  of option to choose from in their menu below.

Ristorante Bigoli has the calm ambiance maybe due to lighting. A combination of wood parquet walls and green dining seats, with a piece or two of Madrid pattern tiles on the wood table, sets more of the aura of ala-Mexican style rather than Italian. Like most Italian restaurant, their dining area is not that big and is a little bit crowded.

Gruppo Pasta and Pizza Festa P 999.00 <good for 4-6 persons> consists of Grande Platter of Spaghetti Bolognese & Alfredo Fettuccine, Whole Formaggi Pizza and Refillable Drinks.

Italian Chicken Platter ~ 6 pieces P 370.00

Bacon Stromboli P 130.00

Garlic Bread Sticks FREE and UNLIMITED...good deal, really!

Stromboli is a must try. Garlic stick is good when hot. I like the fettuccine more than the spaghetti. The chicken is a bit salty for a buffalo style chicken. I love the serve yourself, drink all you can, drink all you like beverages. Overall, everything is worth for the value of your money.

Ciao~

Breakfast at Antonio's

We decided to take our late lunch break at Breakfast at Antonio's after checking out at Punta Fuego going back to Manila.

Entrance and Parking Area

Though you can hardly feel the cold climate in Tagaytay during summer, a refreshing summer breeze air outside the restaurant embraces you as you walk especially going to the back of the restaurant where you can see the breathtaking view of Taal Volcano and Lake.

Dining/Interior

The classic black and white theme of this dining room decor looks very neat and organized. The waitresses wore a French Maid uniforms and their hair brushed neatly in buns which makes your dining experience very European. And mind you, they looked strict and fractious like Miss Minchin of Princess Sarah, hahaha!

Food

Although Breakfast at Antonio's is famous for its breakfast (obviously!), we decided to give a  try their pizza and pasta for our late lunch/merienda.

A bite of Oatmeal Cookie left on my plate
Pepperoni & Mushroom Pizza P 650.00
Cinco Formaggi Pizza P 630.00
Spaghetti Carbonara P 495.00
Spaghetti Pomodoro P 495.00

Nothing special for this menu.  Just like any Italian Resto serving Pizza and Pasta. I still recommend that it is best to try their breakfast sets and steaks.

Bon Appetit!~
